🎆 Welcome to Carnivore Eats! 🎆
This page is all about why I created Carnivore Eats — a journey rooted in personal health struggles, the power of real food, and the need for simple, sustainable solutions. I’ll be sharing my best keto carnivore recipe tips for those looking to explore this lifestyle.
If you’ve tried all the plans, tracked all the things, and still felt stuck — you’re not alone. This space is for the rest of us.
🧭 My Keto and Carnivore Backstory
I began my journey to carnivore via the keto diet – and loved! I only ate the limited vegetables I enjoyed (cauliflower, cooked broccoli) and got to enjoy fruits and “fat bombs” that made me so happy! 🙂 It was easy to make casseroles for a crowd and add a salad. (I still didn’t eat salads because I couldn’t have unlimited Ranch dressing, lol.)
The diet was successful, and I learned a lot, thanks to resources like Dr. Jason Fung and Dr. Eric Berg. My weight came down, I began to feel better, and I had lots of satisfying meals. However, over time, I began to GAIN weight back on the Keto diet. Bad news! But – why? Well, because my carb-addicted stomach craved those sweet, awesome “fat bombs”. I also helped myself to huge handfuls of nuts (another favorite) like almonds, pecans, and walnuts. I would stuff my face with fat bombs rather than balanced meals when I was overly hungry – and I found myself whipping up many varieties of them, using erythritol and other sugar replacements to satisfy my sweet tooth.
Net: On keto, I found a way to still have dessert – and a LOT of it. As I began to get frustrated with my weight gain, I heard about the carnivore diet. It really seemed a little “out there” for me. But I studied it, I watched videos and listened to the doctors who rave about its benefits. And I decided to give it a try. So after a couple of years of doing keto (and losing the fat battle but loving the food) I took the carnivore plunge. I didn’t expect it to become my lifestyle – I just needed a reset. That’s why I created the Carnivore Eats website.
🌟 Why Carnivore Worked for Me
After years of struggling with what felt like “healthy eating,” I finally found something that actually made me feel stronger, leaner, and mentally clearer. Carnivore wasn’t a trend — it was the reset I didn’t know I needed.

🤯 What Happened When I Switched to Carnivore

“Are you going to eat your leftover fat?”
— Steak night, childhood memory 😅
Even as a kid, I knew I loved fat. I used to circle the dinner table asking everyone, “Are you going to eat your leftover fat?” Steak nights were a treat, and the fat was always my favorite part. Some might find that gross (lol), but looking back — I was a true carnivore at heart all along.
But like many people, I lost my way. Over time, I got pulled into the world of sugary desserts, processed foods, cereals, and the “low-fat” lies that wrecked so many of us. Eventually, I realized those things weren’t food — they were poison.
Keto was my first step back to health. Carnivore was the one that truly felt like home – and removed the “triggers” for my over-indulgence. I found trustworthy doctors, nutritionists, and everyday people sharing real, science-backed results. I followed their lead, took the plunge — and never looked back…using resources like Dr. Ken Berry and Dr. Robert Kiltz to help shape my journey.
That doesn’t mean it was easy. Letting go of “fat bombs,” nuts, and sweeteners was a struggle. I had leg cramps. I missed the flexibility of Keto. Eating out became a challenge — thanks to seed oils, sketchy restaurant practices, and constant ingredient vigilance.
And let’s be honest: I cooked. A lot. Which means I cleaned. A lot. Every. Single. Day. 🥴
But the trade-off? It was worth it.
🥩 Where I Am Now in My Keto-Carnivore Life
Long story short — two years later, I’m still a happy carnivore. There are things I’d do differently if I had unlimited funds, but I’m genuinely proud of the results. Over the years, I’ve ranged from a size 14 (after pregnancy) to a steady 2/4 — and for the past 1.5 years, I’ve maintained my weight while feeling better than ever.
I’ve learned to plan ahead, bulk cook meals, and accept that I’ll probably always do too many dishes. I’m not a perfect cook — I’m a messy, busy human with a real life, and that’s okay. I embrace the chaos.
Whether you’re keto, carnivore, or somewhere in between, this lifestyle has helped me stay consistent. You might thrive on a keto diet if you enjoy veggies, sweet (non-sugar) treats, or creamy fat bombs. For me, going full carnivore was the structure I needed to stay on track.
We’re all different — the key is to find what works for you.
🍽️ What I Eat Today
I’m not strictly a carnivore, as I include dairy and a few spices like garlic powder in my diet (and when using the Chef Bruno carnivore keto recipe generator). I drink coffee in the morning. I DO prioritize using ingredients that are as natural as possible, such as raw milk, and avoid additives or chemicals in spices or anything I consume. If it has chemicals, I put it back on the shelf and find another option. I spend most of my time at the meat sections of Costco, Sam’s, and my local grocery stores. That’s what works best for my journey.
✅ Why I Created Carnivore Eats
When I first dove into the carnivore and keto lifestyle, I was eager to learn — but I quickly discovered a frustrating trend: nearly every recipe I needed was buried inside a long YouTube video. I’d find a meal I liked, but later forget something simple — like the oven temperature — and have to rewatch the entire thing just to get that one detail. It became a time-waster.
Cooking a meal that takes 10 minutes shouldn’t require 20 minutes of listening to someone talk about it. When I’m ready to cook, I want the facts — no fluff, no filler, and definitely no scrolling through commentary to find the meat of the recipe.
This frustration inspired me to create Carnivore Eats and Chef Bruno — platforms that deliver only the essentials, without unnecessary fluff or long-winded videos. My goal is to help you get what you need quickly so you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying your day.
But there was something else driving me, too. I realized that while I love eating animal-based meals, I don’t always follow a strict carnivore diet — and I needed a tool that gave me both structure and flexibility. Sometimes meat and salt aren’t enough to satisfy me. Other times, I’m cooking for non-carnivore friends, or I want more affordable options than ribeye every night. That’s when the idea for a carnivore keto recipe generator came to life — something that could make my own life easier, while supporting others on a similar journey.
